In May of 1995, James was attending MTSU in Murfreesboro, TN and I was finishing my senior year of high school at Coffee County Central High School in Manchester, TN. We met by chance one afternoon on the campus of MTSU and exchanged phone numbers. We wrote letters back and forth while James was home in Memphis over the summer. We grew to know each other well and developed a strong friendship that has lasted over 30 years!
